warn

动词（及物）( warned; warned; warning)

警告;告诫;提醒

1.He warned me against going outside alone at night.

他提醒我晚上不要单独出去。

2. The police warned us not to go out at night.

警察告诫我们夜间不要出门。

常见用法：

1.warn off 警告...不得靠近 ...

2.warn sb. to do sth.提醒某人做某事。

3.warn sb. not to do sth.警告某人不要做某事

4.warn sb. of 警告某人某事，就是告诉某人

什么事情有危险等等，让他提防一点的意思。

句中的falling 是现在分词作定语，意思是“正落下的”，修饰后面的名词dinosaur。过去分词也有这种用法。如：

Don’t wake up the sleeping boy.

不要叫醒那个熟睡的孩子。
